If you made it to the Star Spangled Spectacular last Saturday night, it was clear you weren’t alone. The crowd was estimated at between 12,000 and 15,000 revelers who celebrated our nation’s independence.
We have our many sponsors to thank for helping drive attendance and offset costs for the event. The Town is committed to making community events free and having reliable partners on board makes that possible.
The Town appreciates the support provided by Bianchi’s Italian, Comcast, 5th Avenue Productions, Firehouse Subs, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, Hughes Federal Credit Union, KIIM-FM, Select Senior Placement Services, Tucson Local Media and Tucson News Now. These community organizations are a tremendous asset to the Town of Marana and we look forward to working with them as we expand and improve our events.
The next signature event is the Marana Cotton Festival on Oct. 10 at the Heritage River Park. Before then, there are several community events, including concerts and movies in the park and dive-in movies at the pool, to keep everyone entertained. Information is available on the Town’s event web site.
