Marana, you sure have grown.
According to estimates compiled by the Arizona Department of Administration’s Office of Employment and Population Statistics, the Town had 40,342 residents on July 1. That total is up sharply from the 34,961 recorded in the 2010 Census.
The numbers don’t lie. The Town issued the largest number of single family residence permits in Pima County last year with 701. Marana is on pace to reach 600 this year.
Pima County has as estimated 1,007,162 residents. Included in that total is Tucson’s 529,336 and Oro Valley’s 42,190.
