The Town’s finance awards keep adding up.
The Town has received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting award for its FY2013 comprehensive annual financial report by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. The Town has earned the award six consecutive years. The award is the highest form of recognition a city or town can receive for its governmental accounting and financial reporting. The Town’s comprehensive annual financial report was judged by an impartial panel as demonstrating a spirit of full disclosure to clearly communicate its financial story and encourage potential users to read the report.
“These types of awards are made possible by the organization’s commitment to excellence in financial reporting and the effort put forth by all levels of this organization,” Town Manager Gilbert Davidson said. “It’s especially a testament to the professionalism and dedication to service shown by our finance department.”
