The Marana Main Street Festival takes a look forward at the community April 5-7.
“Our goal is to create a regional event,” said Teri Murphy, chairperson of the planning committee. “This is for both the Marana community and outside communities to enjoy.”
Downtown Marana is the perfect place to bring visitors and community members together.
“The purpose of Marana Main Street Festival is to bring people to downtown Marana and get them immersed in the vision for tomorrow,“ said Del Post, Marana deputy town manager.
Downtown Marana, currently consisting of the Marana Municipal Complex, Marana Health Center, a few small developments and lots of farmland, has an impressive blueprint, a future that the festival are set to convey. The municipal complex is located at 11555 W. Civic Center Drive.
Marana Main Street Festival includes a street fair, bed races and parade, entertainment, kids’ activities and tractor displays. The Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance is providing vendors and entertainers. The Marana Health Center is also putting on a musical event “Music in Marana” that weekend to complement the street festival.
